I have always played and
collected Barbie dolls. Like all enthusiasts, I deplore what Barbie has become.
Not only, I always made clothes for her, but it has become a “necessity” as
Mattel can’t be bothered anymore.
On a particular Christmas, short
of money but not of ideas, I made a whole wardrobe for my daughter’s dolls. I carefully
packaged them as if I’d bought them in a shop. She didn’t realised until I told
her later that I had made them.
